This hotel has rooms all around a central court yard. The restaurant is in the court yard and there are beautiful plants which attract birds and give an overall look of freshness. The restaurant has powerful fans which help with the heat. Our room had an aircon, which is rare for Villavieja and Tatacoa. The beds were comfortable and although there is only cold water, it was no problem because of the heat in this area. The breakfast consisted of fruit juice, toast and eggs made to order, and coffee. It was nice and more than enough. We had lunch once and dinner twice at the hotel's restaurant and the food was delicious. We also had very good cocktails. The restaurant is open all day till 10 pm. They also have an ice cream fridge where you can buy different delicious ice creams any time of day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and some of them do speak English. We asked them to arrange our transport from Neiva airport to the hotel and to arrange a tuk tuk and guide to take us to the Grey dessert and Red dessert the day after our arrival (our only full day in Villavieja). Yeison Medina waited for us at the airport when we arrived late on a Sunday night and transported us to the hotel. He also happened to be our guide for the dessert trips. He is a professional guide at the observatory as well and he was very knowledgeable about the geology, the history and the fauna and flora of the dessert. He spoke English well enough, he was very funny and full of jokes and we had a wonderful day with him. He was also a magician with a cell phone and took very creative photos of us in the dessert. We will remember him every time we look at our holiday photos. Hotel Villavieja is definitely the obvious choice if you plan to visit the Tatacoa dessert. Don't bother to find a tuk tuk on the square or anywhere else for dessert tours, just ask the hotel to arrange it for you and hope that Yeison Medina is your guide.

Located within San Pedro Plaza shopping centre, GHL Hotel Neiva offers free WiFi in Neiva. A restaurant and a business centre are on site. I have been booking the GHL Hotel Neiva since 2016. It is the best option to stay in Neiva. The staff is very thoughtful and helpful. All hotel facilities were organized and clean. Breakfast, lunch and dinner werre always very good. I strongly recommend it.

It was a great experience there. The staff always paid attention to our requests in a very kind way. The place was always clean and organized. The location was perfect for our activities and I loved that the place is surrounded by nature and far from the noise.

The area felt safe and the rooftop terrace was decorated really nicely. Very close to the airport in a residential area. We stayed there after a few days in the desert and definitely recommend it.

Hotel Colonial Andino - Parque principal de Pitalito er staðsett í Pitalito og er með garð, sameiginlega setustofu, verönd og ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna á gististaðnum. They have gone out of their way to keep this hotel in it’s original splendour! This is one of the best places I stayed while in Colombia for six weeks. The location is perfect. It is on the central square but all rooms are set back from the street if you have sensitive hearing.

Monasterio San Agustín, Kólumbía í San Agustín, er 4 stjörnu gistirými með garði, verönd og bar. Gististaðurinn státar af fjölskylduherbergjum og barnaleikvelli. We had a wonderful time! The facilities are great and it's a beautiful hotel. Mostly it is the friendly staff, Carlos greeted us and attended to every need during our stay. Dievir, the waiter for two events was great as was Raul, or waiter on the last night. The breakfasts were exception, the restaurant was charming, the food was very good, but again, it was the service that made this place stand out. We will be back.

Hotel Villa Paraiso er staðsett í Villavieja. She helped me organizing a tour to the desert with an amazing guide, I could stay one more night without problems and also the rest of the staff is really nice. the room was clean and the bed comfortable, it has AC, breakfast included and there is also a pool. I definitely recommend staying here!
