It felt like we have been in paradise - surrounded by hummingbirds, parrots and monkeys. It was an incredible experience. Carlos made breakfast which was absolutely tasty. In addition you can book dinner, which was also amazing (2 courses for 14$)! Carlos was really helpful. Also with booking a trip to the Corcovado Nationalpark. He found the best tour guide ever for us!

There is so much hiking you can do, I recommend staying at least a few nights to enjoy it thoroughly. At the hostel, all rooms are equipped with a terrace. At Surf Shack Room #1 each room is fitted with air conditioning and a private bathroom. The location was fairly quiet as there wasn't much road traffic going by. There was AC and the shower had hot water, which my wife loved. The kitchen was an ample size and had everything we needed; even Tupperware to keep our extra food so we didn't leave it in the pans. The rooms didn't feel cramped and had shelf space to put our things. The beds we're comfy and the towels were soft. The covered common area outside the kitchen was a great place to eat and for my wife to work. We would stay here again.
