The staff is absoluteley amazing an do the best they can - I mean at reception. At the bar there is a bit of strange strict policy regarding happy hour .... has to be the same cocktail although two have he same price and if you order two different you can only do that as you receive 2 (so4) at the same time ...... really unflexible and strange policy. But again staff is great at reception and also the pool area with the monkeys is really nice. Breakfast is stated that it is included but thats just some toast and a cup of coffee and for the rest you get charged

Beautiful national park and the amenities in the surrounding town are plenty. It was easy to walk around, although take notice of the traffic on the main road. It got pretty busy and fast sometimes. We stayed near our resort for meals within walking distance- El Wagon was a good family spot for dinner's not spent at our resort. We had an excellent lunch and cup of coffee at Emelio's Café. The town has plenty of grocery stores for any daily needs. We only tried two beaches. Playa Bisanz had tricky parking and the guys watching cars honestly looked a bit sus. We did not stay there for long. Playa Manuel Antonio was absolutely beautiful. The park fee/ reservations keep it low key and it's well worth the visit and admission fee. The water was warm and the beach clean. Watch your belongings as the capuchin monkeys that bounce around are more than happy to raid your bag, as we witnessed happening to one of our fellow beachgoers. If you're driving yourself to the park, take notice of the official parking. The locals are harmless but a bit aggressive with trying to get you to park in their lots so they can charge you. We got forced into a lot by a gentleman jumping into the road, then kicked out when we told them we didn't want a guided tour with them. We laughed it off, as we could have easily just driven around him. If you book your adventures with a company, they all offer transpiration. That said, a guided tour with a reputable company (We did Jade Tours) for the national park is a must. We saw WAAAAY more than we would have on our own, including a sloth fight. Well worth the fee. We also did a kayak/mangrove tour with Narcacosta and a guided horseback/waterfall tour with Brisas del Nara- I cannot say enough good things about either one of these organizations. Top tier experience, knowledgeable guides, and beautiful facilities.

    Good beaches.

Good beaches. Espadilla, even when crowded, is large enough that you can walk a little and get a fairly empty beach if you prefer. A car is a must-have if you plan to explore the town, but you're not missing much if you stay in a resort with beach and jungle access the whole time. The most expensive restaurants are good, all others are nothing special and just okay to not be hungry. You'll get better treatment as a foreigner because people expect tips, so definitely take advantage of that if you are one.

Mid-February is very hot and humid for this area - 90 degrees Fahrenheit everyday. We really enjoyed visiting the park and seeing rainforest wildlife, swimming at the beaches (watch out for strong rip tides!), and familiarizing ourselves with an area we had never been to before. Be ready to pay tourist prices (you are in a high tourism area - and it is so for a good reason), but if you can get an apartment with a kitchen, visiting the Quepos farmer's market and being able to make some of your own meals make this area more affordable. Glen's on the beach has the best chairs and his whole family is so kind and helpful. Going into the park for the first time with a guide is highly recommended, but so is going a second time on your own at your own pace. Get there first thing in the morning, because it heats up and gets busy after 9 AM. Eat at the Falafel Bar, like everyone says, because it is delicious (the smoothies are really refreshing). The public busy is easy to navigate, so use it and explore! Favorite activity in the area, other than the national park, was by far the Night Damas Mangrove Tour with Iguana Tours. Explore and have fun!

The room and bathroom was large and balcony overlooked the jungle, monkeys and birds came to the balcony everyday The area is so lush with beautiful flowers and trees. The beach area and ocean was really nice. The way down to the beach was easily accessible, the path down has ropes on both sides to help. Swimming pool was lovely surrounded by tables and umbrellas could have meals there if chosen. Excursions easily booked by agents and very informative.

The location of the hotel and the rather large front and back parking lots are awesome! The restaurant is pleasant, staff is nice, food is pretty good. We had free breakfast with our room stay but also enjoyed a meal or two for lunch. The kids enjoyed the pool (after beach time!) The room was standard, very much like a hotel room in the US, but okay. Howler monkeys were around in the early morning, and white-face Capuchin monkeys visited an afternoon by passing on the roofs and balconies, so cool!!!

This hotel is adjacent to Manuel Antonio National Park, so we were able to observe lots of wildlife right on the property. We saw many capuchin monkeys on the balconies, and all around the hotel! We also saw a hummingbird, many iguanas, family of bats, rhinoceros beetle and other lizards all on the hotel property. The rooms were clean, breakfast was great, and there's a tunnel that takes you straight to the beach path. All the staff were pleasant and happy to help. Location is perfect!

The hotel is on the beach. This is my second time staying there and I absolutely love it. It's in the middle of the action in the daytime, and it is very quiet at night. You can walk to restaurants including one on site, and you can easily reach a little corner store. You can also walk to the Manuel Antonio National Park very easily. Because it is so close to the park, a variety of wildlife comes right to the beach and in the hotel (monkeys, birds, iguanas, frogs).

A beautiful hotel with a swimming pool and a large garden. The service is very nice. Ideal to leave the car Oh the parking and walk to the Manuel Antonio Park in the morning and to the beaches in the evening. The hotel also has its own 40-minute jungle trail. There is an excellent restaurant at the hotel. The welcome wine is a very nice gesture. We saw many monkeys, iguanas, birds and even frogs in the hotel garden. Highly recommended!

The location of his hostel is great: close to the entrance of Manuel Antonio Park and to the beach. Rooms are basic but fine. The bathroom is shared with no hot water. We LOVE this place! The pool is a family dream, they have. a private movie theatre for families, best views, best staff, monkeys. We live in Costa Rica and this hotel is my families favorite hotel to stay at. There is not 1 thing I can think of that isnt amazing!

This hotel is all about the location. Right on an amazing beach. Walking distance to everything you need, including the national park. Perfect. The staff were amazing as well. Best value for money in Manuel antonio..

This hotel is gorgeous. It is about 1 minute from the national park and from the beach. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and pleasant. There is a full shared kitchen and a refrigerator inside the room.
