For a Bed & Breakfast, the two twin room was very roomy. In fact, the ensuite bath was very huge and I found out later that this was formerly a small room in the house. You rarely find a room in a Bed & Breakfast that offers two beds. Alicion did not only offer one but provided ample space.
The Lunenburg Inn, featuring a garden, a terrace and a bar, is set in Lunenburg, 600 metres from St-John's Anglican Church and less than 1 km from Knaut-Rhuland House.

Breakfast was not included, but the kitchen was well stocked with necessary utensils, dishes, pots, and other materials for cooking. Best we'd seen yet.

We had a phenomenal stay at this beautiful historic inn. The room was lovely and very cozy, resulting in 2 nights of very good sleep. Lisa, The hostess made 2 different creative and filling. Lisa gave up very good touring sites advice. Would stay here again with no hesitation. Recommend this inn very highly to others.

Lunenberg, of course, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but there's almost nothing to see here. The downtown is a single street a few blocks long with a couple of mostly-empty side streets. One picture, and you are ready to move on.

Beautiful place. A must see destination.
Beautiful place. A must see destination. We only had one night and should have stayed longer. Lots of places to see. Lots of places to eat but it’s busy with tourists. We went a little off the beaten track away from the sea front and found some less busy eateries.

The most interesting item was the Fisheries Museum.
The most interesting item was the Fisheries Museum. Most of the restaurant served fried foods but we ate at The Lincoln Street Food Store which was very good. We found that the restaurants were expensive for the type of food they offered. To get around in Lunenburg was fairly easy, there are a lot of hills. I think that if we made another trip to Lunenburg we would try to get into the Art Galleries, most were closed when we were there. We would avoid most of the restaurants and try to find one that didn't serve only fried foods.

Loved this town!
Loved this town! Seeing and walking aboard the Bluenose II was great. Took the haunted tour - highly recommend. Great shopping for souvenirs but also for local artist's work. Hope to visit again!

Our visit to Lunenbur greatg was at the end of an 11 day tour of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We definitely saved the best for last. Would have liked to have had one more day in Lunenburg. All of the restaurants were great. we ate at the Half Shell Oysters, The South Shore Fish Shack and the Smoke Pitt BBQ. Just wanderin up and down the dock side and through town looking at all the different houses was entertaining.
We were so pleased with the location. The cottage (we stayed in the red one) had everything you could possibly need for your stay. Our unit was spotless, the beds very comfortable and true to the reviews. The cottages were quiet and the views very nice looking out to the Atlantic. Marcus our host was friendly and the few questions we had before arriving were answered very quickly.
On our arrival he explained how to use the air and heat and gave us directions to the town of Lunenburg which was a few minutes away.
The hotel was well situated, giving us quick walking
access to restaurants, shops and the harbour.
The hotel’s atmosphere matched the charm
of the town. Our room was large, and had all the
amenities to be comfortable. It was also the
cleanest hotel room I’ve ever seen. As great as
the room was already, we were fortunate to
have a gorgeous harbour view from the large
window in our room.
It is in a great location for exploring the streets of Lunenburg (by day or night). The room is newly renovated with an amazing view (possibly the best one in Lunenburg downtown). It was comfy, clean and plenty of place to store your things. There is a nice kitchenette. The parking is free (it is sooo important if you wish to be in downtown)
We loved everything about it! We stayed in the Cranberry Building and had a large suite. Not only did we love our room, but we loved the complimentary breakfast. The hotel is located downtown and walking distance to restaurants and other shops. We will definitely stay here again if we are in Lunenburg!
Lovely B&B. Our large room was beautiful and comfortable. The spa bath was a treat. Breakfast was elegant, generous and delicious. We enjoyed breakfast with other guests but also had privacy. Lovely grounds, walkable to downtown Lunenburg. On-site parking. Use of veranda and living room.
Friendly welcome, nicely equipped, comfortable and super-clean room. it’s a short walk from the old town with easy parking. No breakfast but there’s a coffee/donut place yards away. Recommended for those who don’t need or can’t afford the town’s historic Victorian inns.
The rooms were nice, spacious, and comfortable. There was a nice view of the bay across the street and a river behind the hotel. The bathrooms were small but clean and had all you needed. It was a nice quiet location and even had deer running through the front yard.
Breakfast was prepared fresh. Everything was well presented and tasty
The room was large and well equipped. The bathroom was also large with a big spa tub and shower.
The location was convenient to exploring Lunenburg
The breakfast was good. The location was lovely! The artwork and furniture in the inn were interesting, fun and eclectic. Joe and Christopher were both very nice and had lots of information. It was a nice walk into Lunenburg.
Excellent accomodation for three adults (superior king suite) and central location on the Main Street of Lunenburg. Lovely restaurant with great food and outdoor deck. Conveniently located to walk the town.
No breakfast.
Weather was pouring rain and also there was a serious house fire in town so sirens going for hours!
None of that was in any way the hosts fault but that is what we remember about Lunenburg.
lisa who looked after us there was helpful patient attentive a real treasure. beautiful hotel with lovely antiques. comfortable bed. good breakfast great location in centre of town.
The location is excellent for east walk to several restaurants and the waterfront. The room was lovely with a nice balcony to enjoy the beautiful waterfront in Lunenburg.
The innkeepers managed to make us feel welcome even with Covid-19 protocols in place. The inn sits at the top of Lunenburg and our room had a commanding view.
