I’ve been in Queenstown 3 times.
I’ve been in Queenstown 3 times. I can’t say enough about the beauty in its natural surroundings. It’s so beautiful in summer and autumn. Pick a nice apartment and stay for a week. You can take a walk along the lake, or rent a bike, or paddle in the lake. There are just too many ways to celebrate the beauty. Avoid the tourist attractions and go to the off beaten tracks. Pack a picnic and sit under the sun for the fresh air. Queenstown is everything you want.

Queenstown is a mountain town on a lake with a beautiful waterfront. You can walk or bike around the lake. Lots of tourist shops, restaurants, and activities in and around the main centre. It is very easy to walk around Queenstown, more of a pain to drive as there is a lot packed into a small space. The hotel was good, limited parking and a little on high on cost. Queenstown is nice little city, if you have time you can travel to Milford sound, but as we were there for two days, the Information Centre was only interested in selling the tours they do and we found out that there was more todo within the city, like Paragliding, Cable car and nice restaurants and cafes, English Gardens, Ferry across the lake etc.AlaknandaAustralia - 10Scored 10

The location is stunning, the range of activities available unbelievable, restaurants and cafes are in good supply and the staff are happy and helpful. Autumn is a ringer time of the year to be in this beautiful city… full of colour… not too cold.. just perfect.
