Kingsgate Hotel Paihia offers a memorable waterfront location, just 100 metres from Paihia wharf. The hotel offers views across the Bays brilliant blue sea and out to Russell. This is great stay specially with kids. It's got a games room and two swimming pools overlooking the front beach. The Restaurants, shops and peer is with in walking distance. A big up for housekeeping and the beds are a bliss to sleep on. I love the fact that our room has a communal basin (kitchen and bathroom Basin) outside the bathroom and that the toilette is separate from our bathroom which incl a shower and a bath. Reception and night staff is always available and very helpful will surely visit again when exploring the Bay of Islands.

Boasting a bar and a restaurant, Ahipara Bay Motel is situated in Ahipara and features panoramic views up 90 Mile Beach. A little peace of paradise, close to a lovely beach , peaceful & quiet.a room with a view to die for .excellent food in the restaurant.wish we had more time to stay there.

Set in Kaikohe, 35 km from Opua Forest, Left Bank offers air-conditioned accommodation and a garden. gorgeous historical building with huge elegant rooms. great management. only 6 rooms in the hotel, so very personal service. the newly reopened restaurant was lovely and we had two great meals there.

The receptionist was quick and friendly, the room was just beautiful, bigger than the photos. They even stored our luggage for us.

Just 2 minutes’ drive from Whangarei Airport, Comfort Hotel Flames Whangarei features a swimming pool, tropical gardens and a restaurant. Most rooms have harbour views. Guests enjoy free WiFi. Everything about this accommodation is just perfect, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated, from the entrance, the lovely little bar, the beautiful large dining area, the outside open lounging area to the very large, very comfortable rooms. We were in an upstairs room, with a very comfortable king size bed, desk area, small table and chairs, gleaming bathroom with lovely bath and shower over plus very comfortable outside private deck with table and chairs looking out to the magnificent view. We dined in the lovely dining room, chose fish and lamb for our mains, both cooked to perfection. We can't speak highly enough of this accommodation and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Whangarei.

Lupton Lodge features free gourmet breakfast and free Wi-Fi for all accommodation. Each luxurious room provides guests with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player and bathrobes. A pretty, traditional lodge in a lovely rural setting with beautiful beaches nearby. The lodge has a pretty garden and even a pool that we only noticed the last morning. Host Dave was very nice and helpful, prompt in all communication and we felt welcome. Breakfast was very good and my gluten-free diet was noted, which I really appreciate as that isn’t nearly always clear. Our room was very spacious, had french doors and a view to a medow. Closeby Whangarei is a nice little town for a stroll, the interesting Hundertwasser gallery and even a visit to a waterfall.

Paihia Beach Resort & Spa offers luxury boutique accommodation just 20 metres from picturesque Te Tii beach. I loved how friendly the staff were. The facilities were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.
