This hotel is, Hands Down, the best hotel we’ve ever used. From the second we walked in the door it was obvious the D’Urville was going to be different. I didn’t know where to look first as the decoration is so fabulous. We stayed one night only unfortunately.. our room surpassed all expectation ..then a pre dinner drink in the cocktail bar which was delicious and another visual feast ! And dinner…completely amazing food which took us to new places! Love the ambience created which I interpreted as being in a Rudyard Kipling book! I’ve run out of superlatives! Apart from the coffee the breakfast perfect … but now I’m being picky!

This is a very small hotel (only 3 rooms) which only adds to its charm. Its location in the centre of Picton is an additional benefit as it is only a couple of minutes' walk from shops and nearby facilities.The old world style of decor ,the large rooms which are spotless and supremely comfortable has to be experienced. The restaurant is closed for evening meals , but the welcome touch of a wine and cheese plate is a unique touch. Breakfast is offered and sets you up for the day ahead. I would love to stay here again.

The room was part of a new wing great facilities & comfy bed. The restaurant is in the hotel but separately run and I would highly recommend the food here.

The hotel is under new management and I could not fault it. The staff were welcoming, attentive and super friendly. The reception and restaurant area looked newly renovated and was modern and fresh. My meal in the restaurant was very tasty. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept well. And the General Manager very kindly dropped me back to the start of the QC track in the morning. Plus the sunset view from the bar is breathtaking. Don’t be put off By the bad reviews - the new management seem to be doing a fantastic job!
