This hostel is located in a 19th century heritage mansion, just 5 minutes’ walk from Hamilton city centre. It offers a fully equipped guest kitchen and free Wi-Fi in all dormitories and private rooms.... This is what an ideal temporary dorm should look like and be run. I enjoyed my time here, the staff was amazing and the cleanliness was onpoint.

I love guesthouses/bnbs/hotels like this: a great location that gives you a sense of actual neighborhood life where you are visiting, incredible aesthetics and attention to detail, chill vibes coming and going like you rented an apartment without all the pomp and circumstance of a formal hotel. Also, being on the 505 trolley was so convenient, I could take it into the city and transfer to the subway or take it out to West Dundas/Bloor and get the UP express train to/from the airport. Plus Dundas Street ended up being my fav commercial stretch versus the parallel drags like College or Queen Street. Also, I had the room that overlooked the street, that window is awesome, and the thumps of the trolley car as it passes sounds like heartbeats. 1000% will be staying here again if I end up in Toronto another time.

Set in a restored jailhouse, this Ottawa hostel is adjacent to the Ottawa Convention Centre and Rideau Centre Mall. It features rooms with free Wi-Fi and serves a daily continental breakfast. The facilities were extremely clean and the staff were very helpful, the hostel was in a great location and I had zero complaints about the breakfast provided. The tour was amazing to do to understand the history of the jail so would highly recommend doing that

The Only Backpacker's Inn is within 110 metres from Donlands Subway Station, in the Danforth area. It features free Wi-Fi access, shared BBQ facilities and an on-site cafe-bar/restaurant. The staff were some of the loveliest people I've dealt with in a hostel. I loved all the quirky decorative things throughout the hostel. It made the place feel very homely.b
