felt like a home, so welcoming and comfortable space! Kristjan the host was so helpful and made sure every traveller at Giljanes was personally settled in and had every they need. peaceful and quite, kitchen was amazing! perfect location for getting around Vagar island and 100m away from the public bus stop. the common room made it easy to get to know other travellers without feeling like you couldn’t have you own space. would come back without hesitation!

Perfect location if you want to stay close to the airport. Plenty of parking too so great to explore this beautiful island. And a lovely host who also runs Kassie & Mia's Home in Vestmanna, which was an absolutely perfect place!

It's probably the cheapest option when it comes to accomodation in the Faroes. Reasonably connected to the capital and the airport for being the outskirts of a village. You can walk from the hostel no problem to do the Lake above the sea hike or Witch's finger hike. Lovely and friendly cat.

As the only cheap accommodation on the island it makes it possible for budget travellers to enjoy the Faroes. Also nice that booking is flexible if you plan to stay longer (you will)! If you want to rent a cheap car, you will have the best options here (though they are usually not in the same state as the ones at a traditional car renting firm). Enough space for multiple people to cook food. Nice, quiet and peaceful location. There‘s also a lovely cat.

Very clean. Commun spaces and kitchen very well organized. Nice lay out. People can feel comfortable. The owner is available for any question and he is a easy going person. Beds are comfortable and dormitory for 4 are not too small.
