Hotel was perfect for our needs.
We arrived at 5.30am and luckily for us the room was ready and the guy on reception let us check in, we are really grateful for that.
Location was close to a main road so it was easy for bus/tour pick ups and easy walking distance to the main square. Each night they would ask what time we would be having breakfast, on both occasions were leaving early 4/5am and so they had take away lunch packs ready for us when we were leaving!

Very nice city, we liked the vibe much more than in Cusco. Picanterias are exceptional, volcanoes’ views are fascinating. Mummy museum is great experience. Unfortunately , we didn’t have time to visit Colca canyon so need to come back

Arequipa is a very nice city different from the other cities...
Arequipa is a very nice city different from the other cities in Peru, a very clean and welcoming town. I think it has a lot to offer from the mountains to the coast! Colca canyon is a must! Amazing place to relax and enjoy the mountains and the peaceful towns. Downtown is also really nice with good restaurants, cafes, museums and nice churches that are open to visit in the day. There are also nice typical restaurants around the city where they serve local and delicious dishes. Arequipa is totally recommended for 2 to 4 days.

Nice city with an attractive historical centre with Santa Catalina Monastery the absolute top attraction, an amazing place with an amazing history. Do not miss a trip to Colca Canyon to see the condors, that is amazing and this is one of the few places in the world where you can see condors. Another must see site is The founder of Arequipa (Garci Manuel de Carbajal) mansion, about 20 km outside the city. In two to three days you will be able to cover the above mentioned attractions.

A beautiful city!
A beautiful city! Lots of culinary options to choose from, especially in the city center around Plaza des Armas! If you need to try anything in particular, go for Kam Thai Cuisine and Mumis for their tasting course, as well as for Pachamanca at Don Beto a bit outside of the city center.
Anything you need can be reached by foot, also, the taxis are reliable.
The guides of all the tours were well trained and gave you all the information needed!
I can only recommend going to Arequipa if you have the chance, for my part, I'll certainly come back one day :)
climbing Nevado Chachani, Laguna Salinas, climbing Ubinas vulcano
La Lecoreta Monastery with Museum and Library, Mercado san Camilo, Viewpoint Square in the Yanahuara District, Santa Catalina Monastery Complex, Santuarios Andinos University Museum with the Juanita Mummy
Liked everything, from the very beginning moment.
I was thinking to cancel the reservation here to look for another hotel closer to plaza. Thanks God I didn't cancel it. Hotel is amazing, nice decorated, rooms were big, clean.
But the most amazing thing was that they checked in us at 8am, because we arrived to Arequipa early in the morning and also we got 8 rooms instead of 6, so those who were nor couples had their own rooms.
Not enough words to thank all of the staff for amazing stay.
See you next time!
Location is great, near to the market and a few blocks away from the car-free main plaza. Gonzalo is a great host who likes to share his knowledge about Peru and is always available to assist with whatever you need. He even brought us muna tea when we had some stomach issues minutes before our checkout. The appartment was spacious and had a super comfortable bed and a hot shower. The common kitchen was also well equipped with a large fridge and everything neccessary.
The hotel has a hostel section and they are providing hotel quality at the hostel as well.Although the location is very central, it is very quiet. Super clean and comfy beds, open buffet rich breakfast, lovely and caring personnel (especially Mari, in the reception). Mari is amazing. She even prepared a breakfast box for me since I had a night departure for Colca tour. i stayed there for a week and felt really like home. A hidden gem in Arequipa.
I have to thank them a lot because I arrived at the hostel at 4.50 am (I took an overnight bus from puno to arequipa) and they let me stay and even have a sleep before the start of a new day
Nice staff, always willing to help, with good suggestions of what to do in the city
Good breakfast, with egg, yoghurt (I think it was the only place in Peru where I could find dairy or protein for breakfast), bread, butter, jelly.
All people working in this hostel are amazing, best staff we met in more than 1 and half month in Peru. Everybody is super kind and helpful, especially Mafe, thanks for everything :)
Location is also very good, right in the centre. Its a bit noisy but it stops at 10pm.
There is also a small bonus, little dog Maya that keeps cheering you up whenever you need it.
Would definitely come back if I return to Arequipa.
We traveled to Arequipa to enjoy a concert and were delighted to find ourselves right at the heart of it. The hotel was located right at the heart of Arequipa, allowing us to move freely around the city. Also, its lobby gave us a warm welcome with a mix of Arequipa's Ancient history and a warm room to rest. The staff was very polite and quick to attend to our requests. A lovely experience
The guy at the reception has been incredibly gentle and helpful. First budget hotel in our peruan experience that EVERY DAY asked us if we wanted our room cleaned/refreshed. Same with towels, we’ve been asked if we wanted clean one EVERY DAY! Good position to reach the city centre within a 10minutes walk. Safe area on the evening too.
Good Wi-Fi!! Would definitely recommend!!
The room was clean and the staff was awesome! I had a few unfortunate events happen to me in my time in Peru and they really took care or me. Also, this hotel is RIGHT next to the market! You can't beat the location. It's also about a 10 minute walk from all of the American restaurants.
There was even a balcony where I could eat my breakfast and watch the people outside.
This is a wonderful hotel! The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is ultra clean and they provide the very best rooftop breakfast!!! I appreciated the location, it's not in the center of everything but it's close to everything. I also had the very best shower in all of Peru here, hot with excellent water pressure. I would definitely recommend this place
Location very nice -walking distance from downtown.
Relaxed surroundings with a very attending french peruvian couple, always there for you.
I can recommend to stay in Elisa when you want a upper scale hotel in Arequipa, that include the possibilities for Business and Leisure in one compo.
Very charming place:)
Excellent, wonderful family run hotel. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms stylish with great, big televisions and strong wifi.
The staff/family were very warm and hospitable and it was very quiet and peaceful.
The best price with value in town, definitely.
We would come back anytime!
Amazing! Safe and good location near plaza de armas, clean room, hot shower is functional (rare find in peru you know), breakfast is amazing! The manager of the hotel is like an angel. He really takes customer satisfaction as a priority. As a side note thanks him very much for fixing my lock!!
The best place we stayed at during our time in Peru! The hotel is beautiful, clean, spatious with a lovely terrace and an amazing view. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, breakfast is delicious with lots of options. We even booked some extra nights to stay at this hotel.
Great location, tow blocks away from the central plaza. Very nice looking hotel, it's actually a national monument and home of the second president of Peru. Breakfast was amazing! staff was super friendly and accommodating!
This hotel is located directly on Arequipa's main square. We motorcycled in at a super busy time and the staff were very helpful, assisted unloading and with parking our bike. The food was excellent, especially breakfast.
Favorite place I’ve stayed in Peru.
-Staff are super helpful
-Great breakfast included with various options
-Multiple terraces to hang out on with volcano views
-Right next to Plaza de Armas
Excellent hotel, in a perfect location. The room was beautiful and above expectations and the roof top is amazing! Tip: the pisco sour was the best I tasted during my two weeks trip around Peru
Best breakfast during our Peru Trip
Beautiful inner courtyard, nicely decorated
Nice location central to the city (5-10 min to plaza de armas)
Comfortable beds
