The location was good for us as we were racing at the speedway so a short drive to the track with small children. Was good for walks to the park and into the city centre.

Great location and facilities. Easy process to access property and rooms. We had the whole apartment so I would recommend it if you need a bigger place to stay and need some space. There are also smaller rooms that can be booked too.
Recently renovated, our charming farmhouse has room for everyone! The lodge includes a fully equipped large kitchen with sweeping views across the valley.

Vicki is super great too!
Wellington Dam was amazing.
Great walks/trails. Good eateries. Restaurant and roof top bar at Collie Ridge resort was excellent. Good prices, generous serves. Very tasty. Premises, very clean and well appointed.
Visitors centre was informative.
Enjoyed walking around the steam locomotives. Museum unfortunately for us closed at 4pm and we missed it.

Our decision to visit Collie was centred around seeing the Wellington Dam mural. At the Information Centre, we found out about the street mural walk. We did this walk and visited the Coalmines Museum before going to Wellington Dam. The murals were absolutely amazing! The artwork incapsulated appreciation and honour of the previous inhabitants of Collie. The written accounts of people's stories as well as the displays in the museum were very insightful as well as humorous.
As we walked around the townsite, we enjoyed visiting a number of cafes for coffee and meals. Collie provided us with a delightful 2 days break from life in Perth and a different experience to seaside holiday places.

We liked the visitor centre, and the engines and railway relics.
There were some interesting buildings in the town. We particularly enjoyed being able to see the Anglican church on the hill - a lady came over from the Anglican op shop to unlock it for us and show us through. Built in 1915, it has beautiful stain glass windows and wall paintings. We were even able to climb the spiral staircase up to the bell tower.
We also had a memorable trip to Wellington Dam to see the impressive murals. The weather was cold and wet but we still managed to get some good photos, then we were able to warm up with hot soup at the Kiosk a short distance away.

My husband and I traveled for work.
My husband and I traveled for work. We found the facilities to be very clean and comfortable. The restaurant on site was fantastic. The food was delicious, well presented and really big portions..... also a wide range to choose from. All the staff throughout the motel were friendly and welcoming. We will defiantly be back for both work and a holiday.

There is so much to see, not just in the town, but in the beautiful surrounding forests and areas. Wellington Dam has a massive mural, but also fabulous swimming and kayaking/canoeing spots. You can camp, hike, mountain bike. Lots of great choices.
The coffee is good, plenty of parking in town and most interests are an easy walk to.

Collie was a pleasant surprise, had not visited for many many years. For most people the Wellington Dam and the huge mural seems to be the main attraction, but there is more. Many beautiful lakes and pools set amongst beautiful forests as well as rolling green hills. The Street Murals are also a wonderful new attraction, with a well presented, printed map for walking the mural trail, some great murals.
There's quite a few places to eat, including the usual "pub meals" in the main street, easily accessible. A great museum, and art gallery.
We found the map a little confusing when trying to get to the Dam, as did many others we spoke to. We would make sure we were definite of exactly where we needed to go! However, everything we saw and visited was worthwhile. Our B&B was fabulous, would recommend it for singles, couples and families, everything was as described in Booking.com and nothing to make a complaint about, wonderful host Wanda and John, and beautiful gardens, leading down to the river. All great!!!!
Perfect location for what we were doing in Collie which was gravel racing.
Staff were exceptional. Very friendly, helpful and went above expectations to make our stay fantastic.
The room was better than I was expecting. Very clean, good space to spread out, comfortable bed.
Plenty of parking which easily accommodated our car, trailer and race car.
Definitely will be staying here again when next in Collie.
Booked because it had private bathrooms - always no1 for older people! Also aircon, fridge and tv. Clean and comfortable, good shower, near town centre, good value for a basic overnight stay. The staff at affiliated hotel - the Federation, where we had to check in, were very pleasant and helpful. We also had dinner there which was really good, tasty home cooked food.
I liked everything about Whispering Pines at Collie. I have stayed in and visited many B&Bs over the years, and I think the room, and everything in it, was first rate. VERY NICE. From the Peacocks in the trees, to the Tim Tams, and everything in the fridge. Perfect garden location on the edge of town. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this place to everyone.
The Collie Motel is quite old but it's clean and comfortable. The rooms have all the facilities you'd expect. The bed was great and the reverse cycle air conditioning meant I was comfortable on a very cold night. I'll be staying there again as I'm a regular Visitor to Collie.
All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The resort is well worth your money. Very well set out with a BBQ, playground, spa and gym and also great location. Super close to the shops and pub area!
Stayed one night in the family room. It had a separate entrance to the hotel which was handy. My bed was comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. If you are not fussy and need a bed for the night with the basics it’s very good value.
Excellent position on the edge of Collie. Easy to get into town and to attractions. Great for cycling, just 3km from Mountain bike trails and Munda Biddi. Lovely accommodation with all facilities and thoughtful extras. Highly recommended.
Collie Retreat is a beautiful property with plenty of room for everyone. Very relaxing and quiet. Comfortable beds and everything you need for a weekend away. We will definitely be back to try out the pool in summertime.
The staff went out of their way for us - early check in and adjoining rooms, and there wasn't a minimum night stay which gave us a lot of flexibility. I appreciated everything the motel offered us.
I have stayed at Collie ridge a few times before always friendly and well kept nothing is ever an issue with them. Sometimes neighbour's can be a little noise but this trip was lovely quiet.
very nice stay at Whispering Pines, would stay there again. Lovely breakfast and very generous with choices. Electric blankets which was a bonus as it was very cold in Collie.
