Clean, located in a quiet part of Hallstatt, but less than 10 minutes by foot from the town center.
There’s a place to park in front of the hotel to unload. P1 is nearby for longer term parking (18€/24 hours).
The owner has a list of recommended places to eat (and recommendations for places to avoid), and gave additional ideas for where to go nearby.
The beds were very comfortable.
Breakfast buffet was good and varied (vegetarian/vegetable options were available too)
This is a family run business. Reception isn’t on premises 24/7, so it’s a good idea to call or message in advance with time of arrival.

We loved the room and the location. The beds were very comfy, and there were no disturbances from other rooms. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was also spotless. We had a great view overlooking the lake, which was amazing. Check-in was also perfect. We had a hassle-free stay.

Location was perfect, close walking distance to everything but on a quiet street. The balcony was very nice and big. The host was so friendly and accommodating, they let us check in early and leave our car parked there after check out as well.

Living History isn't just a place to stay. It's an experience. How many people can say they've stayed in a medieval mill with an entrance to an ancient salt mine in their bathroom? Everything about this place is magical, and every detail is steeped in history. Even the key to the front door is from the 16th century. The location can't be beat as the apartment is just off the town square where the ferry docks. Lorenzo is such a kind host. He met us in the square and gave us a wonderful tour of the apartment, sharing tidbits and stories about the history behind its walls. The floors in the apartment are heated, as well, which was greatly appreciated during our winter stay. If you're in Hallstatt for a night, don't miss out on this unique adventure!

Everything. Big apartment, beautiful view, very clean, very kind owners.
One of most beautiful village in the world. It is just 2 hours plus away from Salzburg. You can plan a day trip. You will get best scenery and it is like childhood fairy tale place. I must praise I have a good dining experience in Simple 169. The owner is so friendly and food is good. Preferable if you can spend one night with light luggage. So that you can take photo with less crowded moment and take an unforgettable 7000 year old salt mine tour plus skywalk visit.

Loved the amazing views around Hallstatt.
Loved the amazing views around Hallstatt. The salt mine tour is definitely worth it. The views from above are just spectacular overlooking the mountains, town and the lake. Just strolling through the streets everything was so quaint and beautiful. A visit to the church and bone haus is a must its amazing to learn the history.

A beautiful enchanting fairy tale town.
A beautiful enchanting fairy tale town. Set on a lake framed by mountains.
It is very small easily done in a day or 2.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced
Salt mines worth doing 100% but give yourself a few hours as so much to see at the top!
Only down side shops and cafes open late … 10-10.30 am and close around 6.30-7 in the winter we got caught out with nowhere to eat or nothing to do in the evenings

A perfect place to visit with family.
A perfect place to visit with family.
Beautiful lake, landscapes views, snowy mountains and salt mine tour.
Hallstatt is really small and can be walked around comfortably.
Connectivity with Salzburg is easy by bug #150, 542 and 543 in around 2.5 hours.
Tip : Hallstatt old town is costly, relatively cheaper accommodation can be availed in nearby places like Obertraun.

Hallstatt is completely overrun by daytime tourists who just want the quintessential photo of the town. I could have had the same mountain lake experience by staying in a nearby town (and then not having to leave my car in P1 parking then being shuttled to the town).

WAY too many tourists!
WAY too many tourists! Hard to walk around and also find a spot to eat! One night is plenty! Gorgeous town though and easy to get around. A lot of day trippers that once their buses left, the crowds cleared out tremendously.
The location of the hotel is perfect, central, near restaurants and bars. The view from our room was just amazing, looking at the main square in Hallstatt, the church, and stunning mountains! Also, the bed was very very comfortable and it was almost -10 outside but the room was so warm and cozy! Self-check-in was very straight forward and all the staff we met were very nice and polite, especially the girl during breakfast - very nice, positive, and smiley :)
The Boutiquehotel is absolutely perfect. The view of the room terrace is amazing. Rooms use very nice and quality of the bed is on the top level. The cleanliness of the room was exemplary and maintained on the daily bases.
The breakfast is provided upon a request and delivered to your room terrace. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
I can really recommend this hotel to everybody who expects top quality and relaxing stay in Hallstatt area.
The location of this hotel in Hallstatt is perfect, our room overlooked the lake, and we felt like we were in a fairytale everytime we looked out of our window. We were very warmly welcomed upon arrival, and loved our time here. The hotel is just over the road from the fantastic Simple café which do the best red chicken curry, and there is a supermarket about 5 minutes from the hotel.
The breakfast was amazing. We had the breakfast just by the lake. The staff were super friendly. We can leave our bags in the hotel after check out. And the location is very good. It is very closed to the pier where you can get the ferry to the train station. It was like 3min walk from the pier to the hotel. It is very easy found. Everyone visiting Hallstatt would walk pass the hotel.
The views were amazing overlooking the lake!! The food was also exceptional (we had both breakfast and dinner). The staff were friendly and helped us take our luggage as we were not staying in the main building (about a 5 minute walk). The hotel also takes care of your luggage before check-in and after check out. Would definitely recommend staying if you are in Hallstatt.
Nestled amidst the majestic Austrian Alps, Hallstatt and Polreich captivate hearts! An amazing place, located in a prime location, centrally, but yet away from the noise and tourists fuss. Room was spacious, clean, very thoughtfully decorated with stunning view! The staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations! We will definitely return! Thank you team Polreich! ❤️
The perfect stay in the heart of Hallstatt. The rooms were refreshingly unique, but still modern and very well kept. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. He prepared fresh coffee and eggs for breakfast to accompany a table set out with already a wide variety of food. I would highly recommend staying in this lovely hotel for your next visit to Hallstatt!
The view, the balcony, the bathroom, the authentic-ness of the building.
The noise is not bad like other guests mentioned, I think mostly because there's nothing to do at night in Hallstatt so no one would arrive late at the hotel.
I am a very light sleeper and only woke up once to use the WC, never due to noise.
Nice breakfast and helpful host.
The location is perfect. This is the 2nd time I am visiting this pension, I felt the big change happened due to major renovation. Of course the free car park was an advantage also in Hallstatt. The pension is just few minutes walk to the cable car station to the salt mine. The receptionist was very helpful and welcomed us warmly
The view on the lake from the balcony was amazing and gorgeus. Typical Austrian room. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Comfortable bed, complimentery coffee and tea in each floor.
Common bathroom and toilets, breakfast 17eu/person (we didn't take it).
We could leave the luggage after checkout for a brief time.
- The location of the property is great. It’s only a few meters in from where the bus stop is.
- The hotel is just few meters away from the Hallstatt funicular which takes to a viewing platform and Salzwelten Hallstatt above.
- The room was decent, had balcony with views of the mountains.
The best way to enjoy Hallstatt is to be there before or after the tour busses have come and gone, and this house is a perfect place that allows for that. The place was very comfortable and cozy, and very easy to get to. Would definitely stay again. Hosts were great.
Staff is very accommodating, check-in even for an international traveler was seamless. Kind enough to allow us to leave our bags at the hotel even after checkout while we explored Hallstatt for a few hours until our train arrived. Absolute delight!
If you go to Hallstatt stay in this hotel and go for a town square view room. i wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was wonderful. As we were there christmas day we had dinner in the hotel and it was fantastic.
Braugasthof translates into Brewery Hotel. It is a 700 year old brewery converted into a hotel, situated right in the middle of beautiful Hallstatt. Property was kept with its vintage charm. Very friendly staff.
The hotel is just off the ferry pier and on the Main Street, so very easy to walk to the town center of Hallstatt. The host was really kind. The room is well
decorated and spacious.
