With a walkway connecting the hotel and Don Muang Airport, Amari Don Muang Airport is among the most popular meeting venues on this side of the city. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Great hotel to transfer. As our flight got delayed we spent only 3-4h there but the hotel did upgrade our rooms to better standard which made our quick stay most enjoyable. We had 2x rooms. Rooms were very comfortable with nice minibar, very spacious bathroom. The transfer to the airport is through the bridge directly from the hotel's 1st floor so you are in the airport in under 5 minutes.

Location-wise, PD Hostel couldn't have been more convenient. Situated near a 711 and within walking distance to Don Mueang Airport, it was incredibly convenient for travelers like myself. A nice suburban district of Bangkok with a brand-new train station giving direct, comfortable and quick connection to the urban metro network of Bangkok city. Numerous nice local restaurants with good quality food. A couple of immens shopping malls and numerous smaller supermarket everywhere. The Royal Thai Air Force museum is worthwhile a day’s visit in combination with the Air Park at the other side of the road. A couple of interesting temples. Very frequent taxis everywhere due to the vicinity of the airport.

The hotel was extremely hard to find even though I was within 20 metres. The rooms just sit quietly above a dim sum restaurant. Very little signage on the street and no direct direction on booking.com Friendly staff once discovered though. Even my taxi driver couldn't get directions from a shop close by. Needs clarification on web site of location above Dim sum restaurant.

This whole area is improving...better transit access, better car access, better stores/restaurants and airport activities, and gets cleaner every time I pass through. Still lots to improve - I believe a whole terminal is shut down for repairs/renovation, and the terminal is built like a military airport, which is to say that the airport building is SUPER wide and important buildings are spread out, making walking around very difficult. The road out front(Don Mueang road) is absolutely idiotic. Several one-way streets, stacked next to each other, with no way for pedestrians to easily cross. The neighborhoods nearby are full of great street shops and restaurants. Lots of noodles and fried items available at all hours of the day. Streets are a lot cleaner than you might otherwise expect. There are actual trees in this neighborhood!
