Loved the atmosphere of the place -and Deloreswas extremely welcoming and helpful, Breakfast was fabulous and again both Delores and her husband were great hosts. My husband came in to breakfast late so Delores made him a bacon sandwich to go - which was excellent. Great place to stay when arriving or departing from Shannon or visiting Bunratty Castle.

I loved the location and the attentiveness of our hosts.
The continental breakfast was such a great addition. The perfect place to stay our last night in Ireland.

We spent the night there, as we were planning to partake in the medieval feast event. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I lost my booking there so we were invited to have our feast in Kippogue Castle, a mere 20 minute ride away, which proved to be perfect.
so we actually did not spend time there, yet rather in Kippogue Castle. Always a good idea for a visit.

Bunratty is a small village but has a lot to offer.
Bunratty is a small village but has a lot to offer. Visiting the castle and folk park takes at least half a day and is well worth it. We also went to the medevial banquet in the castle - this is also worth the money, we enjoyed it a lot. Apart from the castle there are also several pubs in Bunratty, of which The Creamery and Durty Nellie's are my favourite. And if you'd like to shop for souvenirs, Blarney Woollen Mills Bunratty is a perfect place.

We came to Bunratty to attend the Medieval Banquet.
We came to Bunratty to attend the Medieval Banquet. This is well worth a visit. The food was great! I really enjoyed the Mead welcome drinks too! The staff who were serving our food were also the entertainment. The singing was absolutely fantastic! I sing in a Welsh choir, I was seriously impressed! They instrumentalists were also exceptional. The host was also very funny, so it was a great night!
The castle is a fantastic attraction to visit and spend time with family and learn all about the medieval past.
After the banquet we went into the village and visited the local pubs. What an exceptional warm welcome we received. Both pubs had musicians playing and singing! What a place to visit for a bit of authentic Irish entertainment.

Bunratty provided a close location to Shannon Airport necessary after an overnight flight. We dined at JP Clarks which is lovely and delicious. Dirty Nelly's was adorable, but we couldn't get service. Bunratty Folk Park is well worth a visit. The breakfast served at Bunratty Mews B & B was plentiful and delicious which we could enjoy and be on our way.

Bunratty Castle gives you access to all the rooms.
Bunratty Castle gives you access to all the rooms. If you have trouble walking on narrow steep surfaces you would not have access to most of the castle, however the rest of the park is very interesting and accessible.
As you approach the building, it seems like a great estate house....tall ceilings, large rooms, opulent furnishings. Our room was quite large, with a large bed, and sofas by the window. There is a game room with billiard table and bar area which is quite nice for a B&B, and a baby grand piano (that could really use a tuning). Breakfast is served in a delightful dining room with traditional english breakfast offered. There's a couple of pubs nearby in Bunratty, right by the castle that were quite fun.
Everything about this property was wonderful! Vinny and Sheelagh are great hosts. The room was very comfortable and prepared with a nice continental breakfast, including yogurt, cereal, croissants, fruit, coffee, tea, etc. It was a short walk to Bunratty Castle and local restaurants. We stayed there because of the short trip to Shannon airport at the end of our Ireland trip…..a quick taxi ride away. Highly recommend this accommodation!
The clerk upon check-in was extremely helpful. He is really what sets this place apart. Told us where we could eat and gave us information on the castle. Rooms were large enough to lay out and they were clean. Breakfast was also excellent. We stopped here on a recommendation from the states, which said it was a B&B with traditional hotel expectations. In a nutshell, Americans will appreciate having the option of being left alone.
Very comfortable and spacious accommodation. Everything had been prepared with good taste - quality bed linen, furnishings, decoration. Catherine was very helpful, informative and pleasant. The location - surrounded by countryside but within easy reach of Shannon Airport and motorway - was ideal. I was so pleasantly surprised by this accommodation - so much more than a hotel room!
The hosts were very welcoming and kind from start to finish. The room was very clean, comfy beds and the breakfast was excellent too. Charming little place and very close to the Bunratty castle and a short drive to other amenities too. Will definitely recommend to anyone heading in the direction of Bunratty! ☺️
Breakfast was left in the room so you could have it when you wanted (even the night before!) . Cereal, scones, yogurts, cheese, ham, fruit juice, bread.
Bedding was comfy - just like we have at home. Plenty of sitting space, good bathroom facilities, close to Bunratty.
Beautifully decorated comfortable property & immaculately clean. Location was perfect for us. Walking distance to Bunratty Castle, Blarney Woolen Mills and Durty Nellys. It was a great base to explore further afield in Clare & handy to Limerick too.
Lovely 3 bedroom 3 bathroom house with its own outside area. Beds are super comfortable with beautiful bed linen.
Location is great. Short walk to Bunratty castle, folk park, restaurants and bars. Most have live music.
Location just 10 minutes from Shannon Airport. We arrived early and hosts kindly allowed us access to our room before we visited Bunratty Castle.
Plenty of accessible power points. Nice quality towels.
It was a lovely house, had all we needed. Was in a good location, a short drive to Bunratty Castle and pubs. A plentiful breakfast in the dining room was provided. The hosts were really nice.
Our hosts were very welcoming and gave us a choice of rooms to take that was both comfortable and extremely clean.
The even took us down to Bunratty Castle for the evening show.
Amazing facilities within a comfortable modern unit. Good continental breakfast delivered the night before. Perfect location for Bunratty Castle and surroundingareas. .
Sinead and Shane were wonderful hosts. The B&B was close in proximity to Bunratty Castle and Durty Nelly’s! A perfect place to begin our Ireland vacation.
