Stunning views and at the start of hiking/ biking trails. Bike rental in the village.
Accomodation had basic cooking facilities, with a small shop close by. Also a bakery that's open until 2pm.

The staff were amazing. They gave me a free bottle of wine as they noticed it was my birthday when they checked our passports and also allowed us a late check out. The hotel is perfectly located. We had such a lovely time and would come back again. The hotel was recommended to me by one of my students and I definitely now owe her a good grade for her essay!!

I liked absolutely everything! The whole place is amazing - Soline are small and charming, hosts are super nice and pleasant, accommodation is clean, functional, spacey, with a beautiful terrace and the most wonderful view. It's truly ideal for vacation and charging of life batteries. I loved it and I recommend it to everyone!

Beautiful quiet and small town on a fairly small island.
Beautiful quiet and small town on a fairly small island. The town had a few activities to do from bikes to SUP to kayaking and of course hiking through the very beautiful Mljet National Park. Beaches are of course rocky like in most of Dalmatia. The town will take no time to walk through, and getting around the rest of the island isn't easy unless by car (taxi or your own) -- but for the NP that's no issue as it's reachable within 15 minutes and doesn't allow cars for the most part.

Polače is lovely small village just in the heart of Mljet National Park. We enjoyed local bakery, dinner at Konoba Gunduliste and the nature all around. It is great starting point to exploring NP but also just for relaxing beach day. If you like quiet and peace places for your holiday, Polače is definitely good choice for you :).Nicole - 6.0Scored 6.0

Quiet place, inside the National Park and close to the Lakes, which is great! The beach is nothing special with a lot of sea urchins in the water. Expensive restaurants serving mostly wealthy people from yachts.

From Polače you can access the national park of Mljet easily - we hired bikes and it was a short (but hilly) ride to the entrance of the park and then we cycled around the lake and swam etc. There are a handful of restaurants in Polače - some of them are pretty expensive but there were a couple that were more reasonable.LaurenUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Polace is quite lonely during September, when we visited, but it is a very good location for going to the NP Mljet, because you can take the free bus (included in the NP ticket) to center of National Park. There are some nice roman ruins, but it is not must-see sight. There are few expensive restaurants serving mostly see food, mini market, bakery. Jelena was an excellent host, she went above and beyond, to make us feel very welcome,one evening, she even put a table and chairs on the pier out front, so we could enjoy a pre dinner drink. Their restaurant downstairs was delicious, her husband Tony cooked the best black risotto and the most delicious mussels. We absolutely loved our stay at Polace.
