This apartment was chosen for convenience to airport.
This apartment was chosen for convenience to airport. The Spáta neighbourhood itself is not a tourist destination and is not of interest. It is a satellite town of Athens. To visit Athens we would recommend accommodation near the city centre of Athens. However, our intention in choosing this apartment was that it is a very good apartment near to the airport. It served its purpose very well.

The property was quite isolated, to go to a mini market or bakery ( no gluten free products) it was about a 10 minute walk but ground very uneven and hard going in places( especially when it’s hot.
Did not explore area.

Wonderful setting and the staff were very accommodating.
Wonderful setting and the staff were very accommodating. They also have meals with several different options for dinner and breakfast. The rooms were very clean with coffee makers and nice baths. It was also easy to hire a driver to take us to the airport when we left. Highly recommend this hotel.

Spata is NOT a place to stay while in Athens as a tourist.
Spata is NOT a place to stay while in Athens as a tourist. It’s way far out and there is nothing of interest to see there. Good place if you have an early flight to catch or if you arrive in vary late hours for a nights rest.

Spata is a small suburban town very close to the Athens International Airport. I would only stay here if I had an overnight layover between flights. Book accommodations in Athens central for a stay longer than 1 night.

Spata is a great little community very close to the Athens Airport. There are several restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream shops, as well as markets, pharmacies and places to buy clothes and other essentials. These were well within walking distance. There are many bus stops and taking the 319 or 305 lines you can get to the metro station to go either to the airport or into Athens itself. The beach is an easy taxi ride, very probably a bus ride but we weren't able to make it to the beach on our short stay. The people are friendly and the food is great!
Because our visit coincided with Holy Week and May Day, there were some business that were closed, but we still had plenty to see and do. All the shop owners we spoke with were glad to help us.
